Scenic Artist
We are currently looking for a talented and creative scenic artist to add to our team.

Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Follow detailed instructions to produce one or several scenic works for multiple ongoing projects.
- Projects could include but are not limited to painting scenic backdrops, complex sculptures, prop pieces and faux finishing.
- Responsible for identifying necessary supplies and translating the clients vision into reality.
- Ensure the scheduled projects are carried out to the agreed standards and deadlines.
- Follow health and safety guidelines, carry out tasks in a safe work environment, and clean up and dispose of any waste in your work area.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Have excellent, comprehensive artistic and scenic skills
- know about basic scenic painting techniques, layout and paint application skills, and colour mixing
- Be skilled in techniques such as marbling, ragging, wood graining and texturing
- Interpret Designers' small-scale ideas and develop them into full-scale reproductions
- Handle scenic painting materials safely
- Work independently but also as part of a team
- Meet deadlines
- 5+ years’ experience preferred
- Dependability, trustworthiness, honesty, great work ethics is key
Custom Fabricator
Artistic Contractors is a custom fabrication company customizing in scenic design and themed props. We are currently looking for a talented and creative fabricator to add to our team.

Pay for this position will be based on a combination of education and experience.
Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Build and create custom products for installation
- Contribute creativity to design solutions
- Meet project deadlines
- Maintain time records and job records as described by supervisor
- Use all company owned methods of fabrication and be willing to train and adapt to new systems
Requirements and Qualifications:
- 5+ years’ experience preferred in Carpentry/Fabrication or similar
- CNC operation or programming is a big plus
- Skilled in reading plans & problem solving
- Comfortable working with Wood, Metal, Paint & Fiberglass
- Hardworking with an eye for creativity, efficiency with quality
- Working well with others/team
- Dependability, trustworthiness, honesty, great work ethics is key
CNC Operator
Artistic Contractors is a custom fabrication company customizing in scenic design and themed props. We are currently looking for a talented and creative CNC Operator to add to our team.
We maintain a creative and unique working environment. We pride ourselves on detail and creating a premium product for all of our customers. Pay for this position will be based on a combination of education and experience. Must have prior experience with CNC machine operations.
Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Follow load/unload instructions of part based on setup sheet/Setup Machinist instructions.
- Maintain 5S of work area.
- Tear down tooling and part fixturing, and prep machine for next operation when jobs complete.
- Identify part issues based on visual inspection or inspection with measuring tools.
- Utilize CAD/CAM software to inspect parts when needed.
- Utilize MRP system to log in/out of jobs.
- Adjust machine offsets to maintain in-tolerance parts.
- Utilize measuring equipment for in-process inspection of parts to ensure part quality.
- Resolve part issues with aid from Setup Machinist/Lead when necessary.
- Remove additional break-off tabs through deburring/sanding.
- Verify traveler information to ensure accuracy (cycle time, rev level)
Requirements
- Proven experience as a CNC operator or similar position
- Experience in operating inspection tools and equipment
- Working knowledge of computer programs for entering data
- Solid understanding of health and safety regulations
- Basic math and recording abilities
- Excellent organizational skills
- Great communication and interpersonal abilities
- A keen eye for detail
- High motivation
- Willingness to learn
